A person who serves as a guardian has an important role in making decisions for an incapacitated person or for a minor. The guardian should be an adult who can make these decisions for the minor and the incapacitated person. The guardian has either the role of deciding residential settings or for the role of dealing with financial decision making for a minor or for the incapacitated person.
